Which base fits your shop
High-volume açaí bowl shops with freezer capacity usually run the 3-gallon sorbet tub: scoop or blend, no prep. Shops short on freezer space, kiosks, or multi-menu operations lean on the shelf-stable mix — it stores dry and becomes bowl base or soft serve on demand. Many operators run both: tubs for bowls, mix for the machine.
Why buy the base from the manufacturer
Vibe Açaí is not a reseller brand: the same group grows the açaí on the largest private açaí farm in Brazil (Açaí Amazonas, Pará — planted since 2004), freezes and processes it in its own FSSC 22000-certified, FDA-registered plant, and imports and distributes it in the US through Vibe Acai America LLC under a documented FSVP program. One owner from seed to pallet — no trading companies, no white-label factories, no middleman margin. That vertical structure is why the wholesale price is competitive without touching quality.
Cost per bowl — the number that decides it
Açaí shops rarely compare suppliers on the tub price. The number that matters is what the base costs per bowl served:
| Frozen 3-gallon tub (11.3 L) | ≈ 45–50 bowls at a 180–200 g serving of base |
| Frozen 1-gallon tub (3.79 L) | ≈ 15–17 bowls at the same serving size |
| Soft serve mix, 1 kg pouch | ≈ 10 blended bowls at 100 g of mix + 300 g ice + 50 ml water |
| What to ask us for | Delivered cost per bowl at your weekly volume — for both formats, side by side, freight included |
Operators buying the leading brands through online foodservice marketplaces are typically paying US$ 100–126 per 3-gallon tub. Buying from the manufacturer changes that arithmetic before any negotiation starts — which is the whole reason the category is worth revisiting.
Consistency across a menu, and across locations
A single açaí shop can live with whatever base is available that week. A shop opening its second and third location cannot: the bowl has to taste the same in all of them, and the supply has to be there every week.
Because the frozen sorbet and the powder mix come from the same fruit, the same farm and the same plant, an operator can run both formats — tubs at the counter, mix in the machine or at a location without freezer space — without the customer noticing a difference. That is not true when the frozen comes from one third-party factory and the powder from another, which is the norm in this category.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the sorbet and the mix as a bowl base?
The sorbet is a frozen, ready-to-serve base (scoop or blend straight from the tub). The mix is a shelf-stable powder blended with ice and water per bowl — no freezer logistics. Flavor profile comes from the same açaí supply chain.
Do you supply açaí shops directly or through distributors?
Both. We run pallet programs direct to operators from US warehouses and supply distributors as core partners — factory-direct pricing leaves margin room for them.
Is the açaí traceable?
Yes — the açaí is grown on the group's own farm in Pará, Brazil (Açaí Amazonas, largest private açaí farm in Brazil) with Proven Origin traceability, and processed in the group's own FSSC 22000-certified plant.
What documents come with an order?
Every lot ships with spec sheet (TDS), batch COA and allergen statement; letters of guarantee and Non-GMO statements are available on request.
How many bowls does a 3-gallon tub of açaí make?
Roughly 45 to 50 bowls at a 180–200 g serving of base. The 1-gallon tub makes about 15 to 17. One 1 kg pouch of the soft serve mix makes about 10 blended bowls at 100 g of mix each.
What is the cost per bowl?
It depends on your volume and freight, which is why we quote delivered cost per bowl rather than price per tub — for the frozen tub and the shelf-stable mix side by side. For reference, operators buying the leading brands on online foodservice marketplaces typically pay US$ 100–126 per 3-gallon tub.
Can a small açaí shop buy directly, or only distributors?
Both. We run pallet and half-pallet programs from US cold storage, and the shelf-stable mix sells by the case — which is how a single shop or a new location can start without committing to frozen pallet volume.
What if my shop has no freezer space?
Use the shelf-stable soft serve mix: it stores dry at room temperature for 18 months and becomes bowl base or soft serve on demand. See serving açaí without a freezer for the full explanation.
Is the base sweetened?
The Açaí Original sorbet is a higher-pulp, lower-sugar formulation with real guaraná extract and only natural colors — no starch, flour, fiber or tapioca used as cheap volume fillers. The soft serve mix is made with organic açaí powder.
